Coronavirus (COVID-19) suspends a lot of Breathe NI's core services.
It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that the Trauma Influenced Parenting Workshop on the 25th March is cancelled until a later date due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Participants' health and welfare are a priority for Breathe NI and given the current circumstances, I also want to minimise risks of exposure and transmission to all as much as possible. Understandably, I have had a few participants cancel their places. The venue has also informed me that it will probably not be open by this date and I believe finding alternatives will be virtually impossible due to the outbreak.
The 8-week course that I was about to launch with a start date in May will now also be postponed until a later date.
Given the timeframe that government and health officials have indicated the spread of the virus will take I am planning to reorganise workshops and courses to recommence in September 2020, sooner if we get the ok I will keep you informed of these future events .
In the interim, please take note of the following service provision between now and the summer:
👌 To offer a number of workshops and courses online within the next month.
👌 To offer workshop delivery via Skype/Zoom in small session bites.
👌 To continue to offer one-to-one support in person until such time that either party requests to limit sessions in person, or we are instructed by health officials to do so.
👌 One-to-one sessions will be then be offered via Skype/Zoom or telephone.
👌 Support can also continue via email and other online methods.
👌 I will continue to attend meetings until such time when either party is unable to do so.
👌 Alternative meeting arrangements such as Skype/Zoom or telephone can be arranged at any time.
👌 To continue to work as normal from home developing and moving Breathe NI forward.
It goes without saying that hygiene is of utmost importance to minimise risks and cross infection. Handwashing before and after sessions/meetings is standard practice for Breathe NI and I would appreciate your consideration and cooperation with this as well over the forthcoming weeks.
These are unknown times for us all and Breathe NI will adjust service delivery appropriately as the situation progresses. I trust you understand this course of action and I know we all look forward to life getting back to some form of normality soon. By communicating and working together we will get through the next few months more smoothly.
Please do continue to contact me with your queries, expressions of interest, for urgent support or advice, or collaboration opportunities. I will also keep you informed of any changes to Breathe NI services as they happen.
