Happy New Year!?!

2020 – a year few of us will forget in a hurry! I bet there are going to be some interesting annual reflection posts this year.

To me, this pic just defines 2020, uncertain madness, both in our face and creeping upon us.

Did I achieve all I had set out to do this time last year? Heck, no! Do I have some regrets? Heck, yes. But you know what? If you’re reading this, you’re here with me today so let’s try and appreciate the good among the bad, many others don’t have that choice today...

So, despite it being a year full of uncertainty, fraught with business, health, finance, family and home-schooling stress I’m determined to focus on the positives from this year and all that we did actually achieve.

There’s always something to be thankful for, even in our darkest hours.

Wishing you all a peaceful and healthy 2021 xoxo

2020 achievements among all this pandemic madness:

  • Well, for starters Breathe NI launched in January 2020!

  • My first workshop ran in February.

  • The Breathe NI website launched.

  • I won the Institute of Directors Pitch Perfect £4k award; enabling me to offer vital services to those who otherwise could not afford it.

  • I have accumulated nearly 600 Facebook followers within several months, and I have made over 300+ new relevant connections on LinkedIn. I’m not great at the whole social media thing so I’m delighted that this is developing.

  • I have established relationships with two health trusts and two charities, and we are all working together to help those in need.

  • I have helped several clients and families navigate their way through understanding and evolving how their past challenges were influencing their family unit.

  • I took advantage of the lockdown and I have studied for several new qualifications to expand my therapeutic toolkit and the services that I can offer.

  • I have connected with and met (mostly virtually!) a wide range of wonderful, skilled, inspiring and supportive people that have encouraged and advised me along Breathe NI’s journey this year, our first year in business, during a global health crisis!

  • I have new products and services in the pipeline that will be launched in 2021.

  • I am working on a small number of exciting projects with like-minded colleagues and friends that will also launch in 2021.

  • I am more determined than ever to be better placed to help parents and families in need, especially as the true impact of the pandemic on our family lives becomes more apparent as time trundles on...
